  • The Anesthesia Department of the Armed Forces Hospital Southern Region provides the patients with the highest quality of perioperative, utilizing the technology and guidelines of evidence based medicine. Safe practice is the only way to practice and to accomplish this; we utilize the support of all other Departments in the hospital and of the community that we serve. There is always a permanent incentive for progress and professional development for all the departmental staff. Anaesthesia department provides anaesthesia services: peri-operative care while supporting, as required by other clinical departments in delivering quality patient care.

  • Faisal Hospital - 3 OR Theatre
  • Hospital extension - 3 OR Theatre
  • Cardiac Center
  • 2 OR Theatre
  • Post-op ICU
  • Cathlab, CCU

Hours of Operation:

  • 48 hours per week/ 10 hours on Day shift / 24 hours for on call

Population Served:

  • External Costumer: Military Personnel and their dependents Saudi Civilian
  • Internal Costumers All staff of Armed Forces Hospital Southern Region
  • Services Provided: general and regional anaesthesia In both elective and emergency in OR theatre and to other parts of the hospitals as required. Cardiac Anaesthesia and post-op cardiac ICU Resuscitation services Involves in Code Blue services of the hospital

Future Services: Pain Services Provide an obstetric pain relief service in cooperation with the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Provide an acute pain relief service
