About The Center
The Prince Khaled bin Sultan Center for Cardiac Diseases and Surgery at the Armed Forces Hospital in the southern region is the first center in the southern region in Khamis Mushait. It was designed and implemented according to the highest standards and was fully equipped according to the latest international specifications and standards. The center has a capacity of 66 beds, serves military and civilian patients in the southern region. The center is considered one of the leading centers in the region. King Faisal Military City Hospital in Khamis Mushait witnessed the first open-heart surgery in the Middle East in 1975, with participation of a medical team from United States of America, and the first successful heart transplant was performed in the southern region on 5th of May 1998.
